Scott Johnson is the self-proclaimed Director of Purpose and Passion, and a mentor, leader, and head cheerleader for Healy Insurance division.

In his professional life, Scott embraces the Healy Spirit, helping others and giving value first. He is also the author of Insurance Caffeine, an E-magazine featuring commercial and personal insurance related topics.

Scott enjoys working with clients who also appreciate the principles of the Healy Spirit, and he strives to be the best at what he loves to do.

He is the proud father of three young adults, who he’s confident will change the world someday. Scott enjoys running while listening to his favorite tunes. The feeling of the sun and the wind on his face while he’s out for run bring him great peace.

Scott is also the self-appointed president of the Michiana Selfie Association.

George Carlin

George Carlin is a Commercial Insurance and Risk Management Advisor at the Healy Group. With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, his expertise includes negotiating insurance rates, structuring coverage, resolving claims, and managing risks for his clients.

In addition, he strives to bring valuable insight to his clients that will benefit them personally or help them grow their business.

George and his wife, Julie, have two children. They love to sail and have a sailboat docked in New Buffalo, Michigan, that they enjoy sailing on Lake Michigan.

George graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University. When he was a student at IU, he was a Little 500 rider, starting Team Cinzano in 1985, and rode with The Cutters in 1986 &1987.

Ryan Swygart is a commercial insurance and risk management advisor. He focuses on connecting with local businesses to help ensure that what they have worked so hard to build is well-protected. Ryan enjoys working with his clients to help design custom risk management and insurance programs that cater to their unique needs.

He holds an Associate degree in Hospitality/Administration Management from Ivy Tech.

Ryan has a daughter, Scarlett, and a Boston Terrier, Peyton, who he loves to indulge.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching football, and recreational water activities, including boating, swimming, and kneeboarding.

Bekky Groshans is a Senior Account Manager, working with a Healy Insurance advisor (the Director of Purpose and Passion) to manage insurance risks for his commercial business accounts.

Bekky has two sons, six cats and two dogs.  She enjoys long walks with her pups, and time spent with her grown kids.

Bekky is also a huge Disney fan! And she can eat chicken wings, hassle free!

Megan Rose

Associate Account Manager

Megan Rose is an associate account manager. She assists Healy Insurance advisors with account management functions as well as in the preparation of quotes and presentation materials. In addition, she also supports advisors in reviewing proposals, data, and documents for accuracy and conformance. In her role, she creates a more productive work environment while ensuring that commercial clients get the support they need.

Today, she lives in Plymouth with six indoor/outdoor cats, only two of which were invited. A self-proclaimed animal lover, she loves all her furry felines.

In her leisure, she likes to read a good book, especially the Harry Potter series. She also enjoys cheesy reality TV. Her dream is to travel the world.

Kohl Haughee

Kohl Haughee, associate account manager, assists Healy Insurance producers in developing new business, renewing accounts, and providing client support. In his role, he creates a more productive work environment while ensuring that clients get the support they need.

In addition to his parents, Jack and Amy, Kohl’s family includes an older brother, Kaene, and his golden doodle, Ruby.

In his spare time, he relishes spending time with his girlfriend. He’s also a firearm enthusiast and enjoys participating in recreational and competitive shooting.

Connie Greenwood, a Risk Management Advisor at Healy Group, has been helping clients with their insurance needs for over 35 years, and she still loves it! Her main focus is on Home, Auto, Umbrella, RV, Boat, and Small Business insurance.

Connie and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters and grandparents of six grandchildren. She is also a “mother” to two very spoiled dogs, who help to make the nest less “empty.”

Her passion is creating potted flower arrangements to adorn her yard and decks. She is also quite good at making lists of things to do, and not so good at crossing them off.

Timothy Pingel

Healy Group Risk Management Advisor Tim Pingel has over 20 years of experience as a personal insurance advisor. He provides individuals, couples, and families with home, auto, and umbrella insurance.

His ultimate goal is to be his clients’ trusted adviser and expert, so they have the peace of mind and protection they deserve.

Tim earned his B.S. in SPEA-Finance at Indiana University.

He and his wife, Ann Marie, have seven children and one grandchild.

Tim’s a very lucky golfer; He’s made a hole in one three times in his lifetime!

Rosemarie Williams is a Personal Account Manager in the Healy Insurance division. She supports Personal Insurance Advisors with quoting and updating and reviewing policy renewals; and, she also assists clients with processes such as adding a young driver or a car to their policy, or filing a claim.

Rose and her family are a generation of bakers; she loves baking traditional old Polish recipes that have been handed down through her family over the years.

She also adores spending time with her three grandchildren every chance she gets. When she’s not spending time with her three favorite munchkins or baking, Rose enjoys visiting flea markets, antique and hobby shops.

Bridget Holt, a Healy Insurance personal account manager, supports personal insurance advisors with client coverage reviews and updates, as well as new quotes. She also assists clients with policy changes and claims.

She and her husband Mike have known each other since kindergarten. They have one daughter, who is a teacher; a son-in-law, who is a state trooper; and a 18-month-old grandson, who live in Newaygo, Michigan.

A self-proclaimed huge Michigan State fan, Bridget and her husband enjoy camping all summer in Holland, MI, in their stationary 39-foot trailer with a deck. Their daughter’s family joins them at the campground on weekends. She also enjoys baking and traveling.

Carsten Schmidt is an Insurance Advisor focused on personal insurance products including, home, auto, life, and health insurance. He also assists individuals with Medicare enrollment along with offering long-term care insurance products.

Carsten is the President of Bethany Miracle Village, Inc. which is a nonprofit organization he established with his wife Renee to serve the people of Kikube Village in Uganda. Over the last five years, the organization has constructed a nursery school and primary school on 22 acres of land that is now enjoyed by over 500 students. The campus has 10 acres dedicated to teaching eco-friendly farming and animal husbandry techniques to promote the sustainability of the earth’s resources.

Carsten is Past-President of the South Bend Rotary Club where he served in many capacities since joining the club in 1998. In addition, he is the Past-President of the board of Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka. Carsten is active in Holy Family Parish where he previously chaired the Finance Council and Parish Council.

Kelci Schmidt is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with an English degree. After graduation, Kelci lived in Portland, Oregon, for several years before returning home where she decided to join her father in the insurance business.

She earned her Health and Life license in the fall of 2021 and completed her American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) certification in 2022. Kelci provides administrative support in addition to offering individual health insurance options, including Marketplace and Medicare-related products to our clients. She lives with her best friend Clementine, a rescue dog and loyal companion with a gentle spirit.

In her role as a receptionist/administrative associate, Debra Bianchi is the first to greet Healy Group clients, vendors, and guests, and connect them with the people or information they are seeking.

Debbie and her husband have four grown daughters. She loves being a grandmother and spending time with her two grandsons and two granddaughters.

In her leisure, she enjoys shopping and crafting.

You can always find Debbie because she has a talent for leaving trails wherever she goes.

Lujean Spencer

Director of Finance

Lujean Spencer oversees accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, and she helps prepare the books for year-end taxes. Lu also directs the HR function, including open enrollment, new hire onboarding, performance management, and benefits coordination. She also manages the reception function, and supports the Chief Operating Officer.

She and her husband, John, have two daughters, Emily and Cassie; a dog, Addison, and two kitties, Lizzie and Penny.

Lu enjoys being active and working out, especially at Beutter Park when the weather is nice.

Lu has a knack for making her car keys disappear in under .7 seconds.

Kurt Webber

Kurt is our Director of Facilities managing all Healy Group functions daily. As a South Bend local, he has been a Michiana native his entire life. Coming from a large family, he also has a wife and adult son who works in film. With years of facility management experience, he has worked for numerous institutions in our area. Making sure our events, community spaces, and daily functions run smoothly.

He loves golfing and just spending time in his garden seasonally. As someone who loves landscaping, he takes great pride in his pristine and beautiful lawn. Kurt is not only a family man but an animal lover too. He and his wife and two rescue dogs named Zoe and Riley.

Katherine Corpe

Katherine is the Director of Marketing. She leads, develops, and executes marketing strategies to promote company products, professional expertise and customer service as well as our Healy Spirit values.

She collaborates with Healy Group advisors and associates to set, create, and implement new and existing marketing and communications plans, including digital content to promote the organization and values externally and internally. A passion for design, digital marketing, and creative direction, Katherine’s zest for connecting business with community Is the foundation of her work.

As a Michiana local, Katherine graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a BFA in Fine Arts as well as an MFA From Memphis College of Art. As a creative and visual artist, in her spare time Katherine has her own art studio practice where she represents her work in galleries locally and nationally. She also loves cooking, gardening, hiking, time spent with family, and her dog, Max. When she is not in the Healy offices you can find her enjoying parks, outdoor play, and tending to her houseplants.

Carrie Urbanski, Healy Group’s Chief Operating Officer, prepares budgets, projections, financial reports, and evaluates the financial impact of possible new endeavors.

She and her husband, Matt, a Healy Financial Advisor and Healy Group owner, are the proud parents of two daughters, Lauren and Elyse. Recently, the Urbanski family added another girl to the family—their dog Sisi.

Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters.

Tanja Olson

In her role as a receptionist/administrative associate, Tanja Olson is the first to greet Healy Group clients, vendors, and guests, and connect them with the people or information they are seeking.

Tanja and her husband are the proud parents of two girls, Maya and Nora, who are polar opposites and add much excitement to Tanja’s life.

In her leisure time, Tanja enjoys boating, wake surfing, yoga and spending time with family and friends.

Michael Morin has worked in the mortgage banking industry his entire professional career. In 2006, he started his own mortgage company in partnership with the Healy Group, specializing in all types of mortgage transactions both locally and in various areas of the country.

Mike feels his work as a mortgage consultant is a true vocation. He loves counseling his clients about how to use their mortgage as a liquid financial instrument. He’s also a big proponent of the no cost (truly free) mortgage.

Mike earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife, Kristen Carlson, who he met while he was at Notre Dame and she was at St Mary’s, have four biological children: Courtney, Patrick, Emily, and Joshua. In 2009, the family adopted two children from Ethiopia: Geta, born in 2000, and Tamene, born in 2007. Mike is very involved in his six children’s activities and his church.

She has also built her career along-side her husband, Brent.  Together they have served in their prospective fields both on the east and west coast.  Janelle and Brent are humbled and privileged to now be part of the South Bend community where they work, live and serve along with their 3 sons.  In her free time, she loves thrift shopping and family walks with their dog.
